Illness has kept her away from the Senate since February.
Senator Dianne Feinstein of California is en route back to Washington, D.C. The senator, who is 89 years old, has been absent after being hospitalized with shingles. She is seen as an important vote on the Senate Judiciary Committee, as some of the president’s nominees were not advancing. In her absence, there was talk of Senator Feinstein being replaced on the committee.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer stated, “I’m glad that my friend Dianne is back in the Senate and ready to roll up her sleeves and get to work. After talking with her multiple times over the past few weeks, it’s clear she’s back where she wants to be and ready to deliver for California.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Senator Feinstein’s health to continue to improve.
- For wisdom for the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee as they hold confirmation hearings.
- For Majority Leader Schumer to turn to the Lord for guidance as he leads in the Senate.
